Myofascial Release and Scar Release Therapy

Myofascial Release Therapy (MFR)is a gentle hands on technique, using the application of sustained pressure to release tension, held within the fascia (connective tissue). Assisting to reduce pain and increase range of movement. MFR is the perfect way to address everyday aches, pains and stress on the body, helping you to get moving again. MFR can also be effective at assisting with the management of chronic or persist pain from previous injuries, poor postural habits or health conditions such as, migraine, Fibromyalgia, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Endometriosis and TMJ (jaw dysfunction from teeth grinding or joint changes).

Scar Release Therapy can be applied in isolation or together with MFR, when managing complex internal scaring or adhesions. This gentle hands on technique can potentially improve the texture, sensation, flexibility of surrounding tissue and nearby joints and often the appearance of scars. Scars need to be a minimum of 8 weeks old, from either injury or surgery e.g. orthopedic, hysterectomy. C-section, cancer treatment, mole removal, appendix. No scar is too old to treat.
