Kathy Chase

Kathy has over 20 years of experience working in the rehabilitation and the well being industry. She started her career as an Occupational Therapist qualifying in 1998. Over a period of 10 years she came to focus on providing rehabilitation for people, with neurological illness and injuries. 

Following post graduate studies in Occupational Safety and Health, she held consultancy roles in both industry and private health care, developing a particular interest in the prevention of muscular skeletal injuries, for those working in the caring professions. 

Chasing her passion for Yoga, she trained as a Yoga Instructor, with Ashram Yoga in Auckland and gained Yoga Alliance accreditation. Pursuing further training in Pre and Post-natal Yoga, Yoga for children, Yoga Nidra, Self Myofascial Release, with Yoga and Yoga for Pelvic Dysfunction.

Kathy became the proud mum of twin girls in 2014. After experiencing the challenges of caring for premature twins, who both had colic during the initial months, she decided to train with the IAIM (International Association of Infant Massage) and is now a certified instructor. She teaches baby massage privately and on behalf of organisation, such as Plunket and the Franklin Parents Centre.

Kathy has also returned to providing hands on therapeutic sessions, having trained in Myofascial Release Therapy, with Beth Beauchamp and having gained certification in McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release Therapy. She has a strong interest in women's health and the management of chronic pain and discomfort, through body work, the teaching of body awareness and the re-training of healthy movement patterns.
